What to do if you arrive late?

In order not to disturb other campers, we accept arrivals up to 8:00 p.m. Please do not hesitate to contact us.

Can we bring our own barbecue?

Only electric or gas barbecues are permitted; we offer planchas for hire.

Is it possible to choose your pitch or holiday home?

You can let us know your preference when you book, and we will do our utmost to accommodate you.

How late can I drive into the campsite?

Traffic is prohibited from 10.30pm to 7am.

Is wearing a bracelet compulsory?

July and August.

Are pets allowed on the campsite?

Pets are welcome, but they must be kept on a lead, be up to date with their vaccinations and must not be left alone; you are held responsible for them.

Is it possible to keep food in the fridge?

If you wish, we can provide refrigerators for hire; however, a freezer for bottles or ice packs is available in one of the two toilet blocks.

Are barbecues allowed on the campsite?

Only electric or gas barbecues are allowed. We also offer plancha rental.

Are minors accepted?

They must be accompanied by their parents or by someone over the age of 18 (in which case, parental consent will be required).

Are visitors welcome?

They must report to reception and pay the applicable fee. Visitors are not allowed in the pool.

Can I arrive outside reception opening hours?

No, in order to respect the peace and quiet of our campers, arrivals are between 3pm and 7pm. In case of delay, please contact us.

Can we leave outside reception opening hours?

For check-outs outside reception opening hours, please do not hesitate to contact us (check-outs are possible from 7am).

Is there wifi in the campsite?

A free wifi zone is available around the common buildings (restaurant, bar, swimming pool, reception).

Is there a launderette on the campsite?

A washing machine and tumble dryer are available in one of the two washrooms, and tokens can be purchased at reception.

Do you accept vacation vouchers?

We only accept holiday vouchers and ANCV Connect.

How do I cancel a reservation?

When you made your booking, you were asked to pay a 25% deposit. To cancel a booking, you must have taken out cancellation insurance. Without insurance, your deposit will not be refunded.

How do I modify a reservation?

Please do not hesitate to contact us by e-mail. Changes must be made at least 30 days before your arrival date.

How can I make a reservation?

You can book directly on our website by clicking the “Book” button.

Can I pay in instalments?

A deposit is required within 7 days of booking, and the balance one month before arrival.

When do I have to pay the balance of my reservation?

The balance of your booking must be paid one month before your arrival date.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept payment by cash, credit card, cheque, holiday vouchers, ANCV Connect, Google Pay, Apple Pay, iDEAL and bank transfer.

Is smoking allowed in rental properties?

No, the properties are non-smoking. Smoking is permitted on your covered terrace.

Do you have any PRM accommodation?

Yes, one small cottage is equipped to accommodate a person with reduced mobility. Please feel free to give us a call beforehand.

How are the accommodations equipped?

All the necessary equipment is provided in each rental property. Bed linen and towels are optional. The following items are not provided during your stay: toiletries and toilet paper, food, salt, pepper, oil, etc.

Is it possible to rent a baby cot or high chair?

Yes, high chair and cot can be hired. Sheet, fitted sheet and bath towel provided.

Are the rentals equipped with air conditioning?

Chalets are air-conditioned and some cottages are air-conditioned.

Are the rentals equipped with a television?

Yes, each holiday rental has a small TV with digital terrestrial channels.

Are sheets and towels provided?

Sheets and towels are optional.

Can I park a second vehicle near the holiday rentals?

No, only one vehicle is permitted near the holiday rentals. The second vehicle (at an additional cost) will be parked in a car park.

What is the minimum number of nights for a rental?

Depending on the time of year, between 1 and 7 nights. Don’t hesitate to call us to find out about our possibilities.

How big are the beds?

Large double bed: 140X190; single bed 90X190 (in cottages). Large double bed 160×200; single bed 80×190; bunk bed 80×190 (in cottages).

Is there heating in the rental properties?

Yes, all rentals are heated.

What type of coffeemaker do our rentals come with?

The holiday rentals are equipped with a traditional coffee maker that requires ground coffee and filters.

What does cancellation insurance cover?

We offer full cancellation insurance: the insurance will refund 100% of your deposit if you have proof of payment, or 70% of your deposit if you do not have proof of payment.

What time do we need to return the hire car?

Your rental must be vacated by 10am.

Am I allowed to invite family and friends to the cottage? If so, is there a charge?

If you wish to bring friends or family, you must inform the reception desk. A supplement of €2 per person will be charged. Visitors are not allowed in the swimming pool.

Do I have to pay a deposit at the time of installation?

A deposit of €200 is required when the keys are handed over. This will be returned to you after the inventory has been taken on the day of your departure.

Do I need to make an appointment for the rental departure?

Inventories take place between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. as soon as you’re ready.

Is my dog allowed in the rental property?

Only one dog is allowed per cottage, free of charge. The housekeeping option is compulsory. Dogs are not allowed in cottages.

My rental is available before 4 p.m. Is it possible to arrive earlier?

Arrivals are between 4pm and 7pm, but you can always call us “just in case”!

Do you offer cleaning packages?

A cleaning package is available when you make your booking.

Can I pitch a tent next to my holiday rental?

For safety reasons, tents are not permitted next to the holiday cottages.

When can I get my deposit back?

Once the inventory of your rental property has been completed, your deposit will be returned to you.

What are the check-in and check-out times for holiday rentals?

For holiday rentals, check-in is between 4 pm and 7 pm, and check-out is before 10 am.

What does cancellation insurance cover?

We offer two rates:

  • Economy: non-cancellable and non-refundable;
  • Flex: cancellable and refundable up to 2 days before arrival without justification.

How many campers do you accept per site?

We accept 6 campers per pitch.

Is it possible to rent a fridge for campers?

Le Hameau des Champs vous propose la location de frigos table top. You can select this option when you make your booking.

Are water and electricity included in the price of the pitch?

Yes, the package includes all the services offered by the campsite.

Is water available on every pitch?

There are plenty of water points available on the campsite. If you’d like a direct water connection, the ‘Grands Conforts’ pitches are just the thing for you!

What kind of electrical outlets are available on the pitches?

These are European sockets (type P17) with 10A.

What are the maximum dimensions for caravans and motorhomes?

Le Hameau des Champs can accommodate you provided your motorhome or caravan is no longer than 8 metres.

Is there a hall in case of rain?

A yurt equipped with tables and chairs for 19 people is at your disposal.

What are the arrival and departure times for camping pitches?

For camping pitches, arrivals are between 3pm and 7pm, departures before 11:30am.

Is it possible to reserve 2 pitches side by side?

Yes! 2 reservations must be made on the site. On each of them, you will have to note the name of the second reservation in the “comment” section and ask us to be next to it. If this is not possible, we’ll let you know before validation.

Is the pool heated?

Yes, the pool is heated according to the weather and with respect for nature (e.g. in the middle of a cool or rainy week, the pool will not be heated for a day of good weather!)

Is the pool supervised?

No, children must remain under adult supervision.

Are swimming shorts allowed?

No, to minimise the build-up of chloramines (which sting the eyes!), shorts are not allowed.

Do visitors have access to the campsite swimming pool?

No, visitors are not allowed to swim.

When are the swimming pools open?

Weather permitting … from 9am to 8pm.

Do you have a kids’ club?

No, but a playground and board games for them to play in our yurt or on your pitch are available.

Do I have to pay for wifi?

Free wifi.

Do you lend helmets for bicycles?

With every hire, we offer helmets on loan.

Are bicycles available for hire on site?

Adult hybrid bikes (non-electric), adult electric bikes, children’s mountain bikes and bike trailers are available for hire at reception.

Do you offer any entertainment at the campsite?

Concerts are offered every Friday evening in high season from 7:30pm to 10pm near the pool and restaurant.

Are there any shops on the campsite?

We have a small shop selling essential items, a coffee machine, and the option to order bread, pastries and full breakfasts.

Do you lend out outdoor games?

We lend ping-pong and badminton rackets, pétanque balls, footballs, basketballs…

Is there a hall in case of rain?

A yurt equipped with tables and chairs for 19 people is at your disposal.

What does the bar-restaurant offer?

From 4pm, the café La belle Epoque offers ice creams, waffles, pizzas, drinks and a choice of draught beer. From 6:30 pm, you can dine on a menu of the day, à la carte dishes or pizza. Our dishes are simple, delicious and generous!

How far is the campsite from the nearest shops?

Camping Le Hameau des Champs is located in the village of Cormatin. Within 200m, you’ll find 2 bakeries, a tobacconist’s, a butcher’s, 2 grocery stores, a pharmacy, a hairdresser and 1 wine cellar.

How far is the campsite from the cycle paths?

Camping le hameau des Champs is located along the Voie Verte linking Macon and Chalon sur Saône. We have direct access.

How far are we from Cluny?

13km: you can reach Cluny in 10 minutes by car or in 45 minutes by bike via the Voie Verte cycle route.

Where is the nearest train station?

Macon TGV station is 30 minutes from the campsite.

How far away is the Taizé Community?

Camping Le Hameau Des Champs is 3.5 km from Taizé. A bus service links Cormatin to Taizé.

Is it possible to take the bus?

There is a bus stop in the village from which you can travel to Chalon-sur-Saône or Mâcon.

Where and when are the nearest markets?

There are numerous markets held every day in the surrounding villages. We’ll be happy to provide you with further details at reception.

Who do I contact in the event of a dispute?

The campsite’s telephone reception is open seven days a week during the season, and you can leave a message during the winter months.

Where can I find the price list?

Prices vary depending on the period for which you wish to book. To get an accurate idea of the price, please use the booking simulator on the website by clicking the “Book” button. We are also available by phone or email.

Practical information

Reception open from 8am to 12pm and from 3pm to 7pm. To keep things calm, you won’t be able to settle in between 12pm and 3pm.

We do not take reservations by e-mail or telephone. Reservations can be made directly on this site at no extra charge.

Departures must be before 11:30 a.m. for campsites and 10 a.m. for rentals. No arrivals after 8:00 p.m. to avoid disturbing the neighbors!

Wearing a wristband is compulsory in order to stop any malevolent persons: this is for your own safety.

Swimming shorts are not allowed in the pool area: boxer shorts and speedos are compulsory.

No traffic between 10:30 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. (gate closed)

Visitors must arrive during reception opening hours and are charged €2 per person without access to the pool (without authorization = €10/person).

All booked stays are non-refundable: remember to take out cancellation insurance.
